writes on its standard output a shell 
.RI ( sh (1))
file that, when executed,
will recreate the original
.IR files .
Its main use is for distributing small numbers of text files by
.IR mail (1).

Although less refined than standard archive from
.IR ar (1),
.IR cpio (1),
or
.IR tar (1),
a
.IR bundle
file
is self-documenting and complete; little preparation is required on
the receiving machine.

bundle makefile *.[ch] | mail elsewhere!mark
Send mark a makefile with related `.c' and `.h' files.
Upon receving the mail, mark may save the file,
in `gift/horse' for example,
edit out the postmark, then do
